Cameron L (Room 4): Digging up the past
A good documentary style presentation (telling about a class activity). Good use of lots of short video clips to show everything that was happening and the transitions help move from scene to scene nicely, so that the attention of the viewer is held and they don’t get bored. Mostly nice, steady videoing, with good shots that show the action. Tip - think about having an ending.
Baxter and Tuala (Rooms 1 and 2): Doubles
Great close-up photos taken and used in this video. I like the nice timing of your clear voices, too. The quieter music in the second half made it much easier to hear your lovely voices. The viewer will learn a lot more about doubles from your helpful movie. Your next step could be to learn how to have the main part of your photos showing in your movies.
Estēe, Jess and Nina (Rooms 1 and 2): Friends
Great idea for a movie, you presented some important ideas about friends cleverly in just 12 seconds. I like how you used word and number photographs, and also some photos of friends. The music goes well with it too – it suits the mood of your topic about friends. Everything is just a little fast and it would have been amazing if it could be just half the speed.
Jack B, Robbie and Elan (Rooms 1 and 2): Soccer
Great to see you doing videoing and not just still photos. There were some nice action shots of the ball being kicked around – those shots are tricky, aren’t they! Your camera was jumping around quite a bit, and it was hard to hear what it was actually about. Was this movie trying to teach us something? The next thing you might like to learn is how to trim the video clips to get rid of some of the bits that you probably didn’t want in your movie.
Patrick, William and Sammy (Rooms 1 and 2): Good friends
Your movie tells an important story about friends helping each other. Nice use of a medium shot (not too far away) once the friends were working together, so the viewer could see everything that was happening. It was a pity that the sound was so loud and got distorted in the first part of the movie because it was hard to understand the important message being given. A title at the start would be nice, to help the viewer know what your movie is about.
